And Cosby said...

Cos did not disappoint. .. and as a matter of fact I can’t even dog him out. Dr. Cosby gave the most clarity into his comments to date.

Bill’s acceptance speech for the NAACP Trumpet awards centered around his buddy who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers…

It was the day before his death, and Cos called to cheer him up.. he told Bill that he needed him to play the hot corner….

“Ladies and gentleman the hot corner is the most dangerous position in baseball, a position where the ball comes so fast, that if it hits a rock it can rip your face off… ‘I said buck, I played second base so I can play it safe.’ He said I need you to take the hot corner. I said I’ll do it, and he said, let’s go.”

I paraphrased him basically, but it was clearly bill saying that he has played it safe in his career and his recent comments were a response to his friend asking him to take on the hot corner. I actually felt sad for him.

My comments:

If you are admitting, Bill, that you have been playing it safe all this time, then you should recognize that you needed to get some advice on advocacy… how you go about putting it on the line for your people.

This, my friend, is not how you do it.

Is this our Image, Bill Cosby?

I’m kind of sitting with an eary set of expectation for the NAACP Trumpet awards…they are honoring Bill Cosby tonight. My friends and I have been discussing him this week.

So tonight as Cosby has done with so many black elite organizations, I am wondering if he will spew his chiding tonight on LIVE national T.V. a venue he has not had in the past two years to deliver his rant on the socially disadvantaged classes of blacks, who squander their earning on non-appreciating assets, can’t read, don’t value education, Name their children ghetto names.

SO I’m going to sit back and watch and see what he does.

Get back to you

Answer: A couple of years, pounds and skin shades.

Question: What is the difference between Frenchie and Antonella?

What they are going to say is that since this year’s situation was a private gift to a boyfriend (BTW who does a nude pinup calendar for their boyfriend and expects it to remain private?)

And how about the fact that they completely removed every reference from all their materials regarding frenchie when her stuff hit?

And where was the outrage from Simon Cowell about the smoking gun outing Frenchie?

Oooh and this girl wasn’t even half as talented as Frenchie….I was so upset the other day that I almost stopped watching…but notice how I said almost?

I guess they wanted that year’s idol to be more like Reuben, as Black Thought said “Less Threatening” (Read Coon-ish smile/uncle Tom-ish like sensibilities) Sorry Reub, but your biggest hit was an apology for an entire year ( “And this is my sorry for, 2004, and I ain’t gonna mess up no more!”)
